Our family just returned from a lovely holiday in Cornwall, England at Heath Farm Cottages. The farm is located near Coverack, a charming fishing village on the southeast side of the Lizard.

Heath Farm Cottages Amenities

Some of the cottages can accommodate 5 guests with two bedrooms for a family of four plus a child . Another cottage has three bedrooms and can accommodate a family of 5, 6, or 7 people if at least one is a child.

Each stone cottage comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, living room (TV, DVD player) and patio with table and chairs for alfresco dining. There are laundry facilities onsite.

Grocery stores can be found in Helston, which is located just ten minutes away by car. St. Keverne has a smaller market for the essentials, and is even closer.

Ideal for Families:

Heath Farm is a great run around space for families, with farm critters lurking about and foot paths to explore. And for those parents needing a night out (per the cottage hotel’s handbook) the staff can even organize babysitting.

After the jet lag of a nine hour flight and the strain of driving in an unfamiliar place, it was especially nice for our family to be greeted with homemade biscuits and jam, and supplied with some basic items to get us through the first morning. Combined with dinner in town, we were able to put off the grocery run until the next day. The proprietors could not be more friendly or accommodating.

Out and About Near Heath Farm:

Our family took a number of day excursions from the farm including: St. Michael’s Mount, Lizard Point, Helston, Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens (they are right next to each other), St. Ives, Mousehole, and more. Peter, at Heath Farm, was happy to make suggestions and point us in the right direction.
