Hyatt Regency on the Hudson

Accommodation:

Technically, this hotel is located in Jersey City, but it is just across the Hudson River from NYC with easy public transportation. The hotel has rooms with two double beds that can sleep 4 or 5 for reasonable rates (weekend rates being the lowest). *Note: Visitors have reported mixed results in being allowed 5 people to a room. Perhaps depends on age of children, or hotel capacity. See ‘Tips and Reservation Info’ below for more details.

A family of five is allowed if the children are young. The hotel’s website states roll-away bed or crib may be requested, but might not be allowed. So somebody may have to sleep on the floor or three in the bed. This is a more common accommodation in a US hotel than in Europe. Rooms include a refrigerator. Many guestrooms have views of the Statue of Liberty and the Hudson River.

Hotel Amenities:

The hotel has a restaurant and a bar, an indoor pool, and a fitness center.

Tips and Reservation Info

Since we first added this hotel on Sleeps5, patrons have had mixed results of being allowed five in the room. Please let us know what your experience is. One consistent option, though expensive: the hotel does have suite accommodations that will accept all five at a very expensive nightly rate. Compare with hotel search website.

Just called and was told they don’t have rooms that will sleep 5. May want to take them off the the “sleeps5.com” website!
