Tahiti Village
Accommodations:
The Tahiti Village is a family friendly vacation condominium-style hotel. There are many different room sizes that will accommodate families of five (5), 6, 7, or 8. These are timeshare condos that function as a hotel.
Hotel Amenities and Location:
The Tahiti Village Resort and Spa is located on the Las Vegas Strip just south of the airport. The hotel provides shuttle service to the main attractions. Otherwise, if you have a rental car, all parking is free in the casinos. There is a small convenience store which provides the basics for in-room dining, especially breakfast. Otherwise, head up to the Whole Foods grocery store and stock up.
Our Experience:
Our room was a two bedroom and pull-out sofa with a kitchen and patio area. It could sleep six (6) comfortably and up to eight (8).
The pool was large and full of kids. The lazy river is a separate pool that winds around an island. Guests are gently jettisoned around either on inner tubes which can be rented for a fee, or on their own devices. The hotel definitely caters to families.
The omnipresent smell of cigarette smoke, which infiltrates all the casinos on the Strip, was not nearly so profound at this location. While the hotel is near the airport, we were not overwhelmed with air traffic noise. There were many Europeans at this location.
