The CityInn Jaffa is located in the colorful flea market area of Jaffa (or Yafo, as we were occasionally corrected). The rooms that sleep five or six have two bedrooms with queen size beds and a pull out sofa in the living room. There is a kitchenette with coffee and tea making appliances.
The hotel is two small refurbished apartment buildings next to each other. One has an elevator and one does not. This is an important distinction as the stairs are steep and narrow. That said, I preferred the stairs to the tiny elevator.
Some of the apartments have large terraces with views over the market and towards the Mediterranean Sea. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Please note, though, that their hours are limited to early evening. Guests are provided a numerical code to enter and exit the apartment buildings.
Location:
The area is interesting with windy alleyways and little shops tucked into every corner.
Beit Eshel Street – Jaffa Market Area CityInn Hotel
The area is very clean and well managed with public restrooms even though in general the area seems to be in elegant decay.
Some establishments are celebratory until late in the evening. This did not impact us as we were sleeping on the quiet side. The hotel is, also, an easy walk to the shore and the “old city” area of Jaffa.
