The Mary Lou John Villas, located conveniently on the pedestrian boulevard in Oia (pronounced EE-ya), Santorini, has a small apartment for a family of five. There is one double bed and two singles with a pull out sofa in what is called the “Traditional Cave House.” A small kitchen, a bedroom and a patio with views of the Aegean Sea make up the remainder of the space. Wi-Fi is available. This is one of the more reasonably priced establishments in Oia. Great for a family on a budget.
Experience:
This hotel provides easy access to the village of Oia which is comprised largely of two passageways: one pedestrian and one for motor vehicles. The town is filled with quirky shops, small markets and endless stairways some leading all the way down the sides of the caldera to the water. Don’t worry you can catch a donkey ride (or are they mules) back up! Bus service to the rest of the island is nearby. Contact them directly at maryloujohnvillas@gmail.com.
