Hi – thanks for a useful and interesting website. One thing I found regarding this hotel – if you try to use the hotel’s online reservation system to book a suite, when you put in the number of people as 5, it says the maximum occupancy is 4 and won’t let you book!

So I am guessing it’s best to book direct? Or book via their online booking, then tell them that there will be one extra person (I think they may charge 30 euros per night for the extra person, which is quite a lot for just a sofa bed).

Also, I checked the hotel out on Google street view and there is both a bakery/cafe (W Schmid) and a small organic food shop (Nymphenburger Natur- & Feinkost) around the corner on Hirschgartenallee – could be useful for picking up provisions or for a cheaper breakfast option (breakfast at the hotel would be 10 euros per person whereas you can get sit in breakfasts at the nearby bakery/cafe from only 3.90 euros: https://www.konditorei-wschmid.de/

Also within walking distance are some well reviewed restaurants, including an Italian, a Greek and a French restaurant as well as Wirtshaus Kurgarten for Bavarian beer and food (seems to get better reviews for food than the nearby and more well known Königlicher Hirschgarten).

      Hi Mark!

Thank you so much for describing your experience in booking with Hotel Kriemhild. Did you have success in booking for 5 another way? If there is now an extra charge for 3rd child, we will make note of that.

That is great information about the nearby bakery, food shop, and restaurants! And, it’s a wonderful suggestion for anyone traveling to check out Google street view.

I’m glad you found our website useful! Helping fellow travelers find the large hotel rooms is the reason we started Sleeps5 in 2006.

      Happy Travels,

      Sandy Nielsen
