Accommodations:Remodeled in 2010, this 26-room hotel with fresh modern spaces has a quadruple (vierbettzimmer, 4-bed room) room that may accept an extra bed, and it also has an apartment for 5 guests. Each hotel room has a private bathroom, TV, and wireless internet access. Breakfast buffet is included in the room rate.
Experience:
The hotel is one block from the Munich’s Viktualienmarkt, and there are other cafes, pubs, and shops nearby. At night it is nice and quiet. We had a difficult time finding the hotel from the Marienplatz subway station. Even with a map, streets must be identified by their shape because there are few street signs on posts, and some are hard to spot, attached to the corners of buildings. (*Note: now, online maps are probably sufficient!)
Sandy’s family stayed here in summer, 2008, and we highly recommend it.
